Right now, features such as tv and video are only available in a limited capacity, but in a few months that may change as carriers are continually adding new programming to cell phones in addition to the brief video clips currently out there. Carriers are looking at adding full-length shows to cell phones, even adding these shows so they can be viewed live. Here's a sneak preview of what some of the major carriers are doing:

Likely to be granted exclusive rights from ESPN to offer its programming on their phones. Would like to expand its Fios tv service to wireless handsets, which would let users control their DVRs from their phones without having to be at home. Has a service called Vcast, which offers short video clips for cell phones that has been available for 2 years.Customers can get calling, wireless, Internet, and video services as part of a package for $ 160.92 per month. Or Verizon users can pay $ 15 per month or $ 3 per day for the multimedia available on its phones.
Sprint Nextel

Owns a video service available on cellphones.Offers tv news clips from channels like Discovery and CNN.Has not announced whether it plans to offer a live tv broadcast service to cell phone subscribers.
AT & T

Provides same-day video coverage for the Mercedes-Benz fashion week in New York among other fashion events on their cell phones, allowing subscribers to see just as fashion designers, buyers, and celebrities do in person, the latest clothing designs for the upcoming fall season over their cell phones. Subscribers can feel like they are there in person while watching the shows and viewing the back stage reports. For access, interested customers can subscribe to a $ 19.99 monthly media package, which includes video clips, Internet, email, messages, news,weather, sports scores, and movie times.
Comcast, Time Warner, Cox Communications, and Advanced Newhouse

Will offer a cable tv guide and some video content on their phones. For Comcast users, to get access to the cable tv guide, users have to pay an extra $ 15 per month for a data package. For an extra $ 25 per month, Comcast will give access to the cable tv guide, video content, and Internet access with email.

Disadvantages of Mobile TV and Video Features

The features listed above sound great for consumers, and seem to ensure profits for carriers, but if carriers do not predict ahead, they could be faced with a major downside to their efforts. Because video takes up 10 times the bandwidth voice does on cell phones, capacity on the network could be exceeded in 2007 if enough people watch just 10 minutes of video per day.

The 3 g networks in the U.S. carriers have now cannot handle a lot of video traffic. The networks are divided into cells and users in the same cell share the same bandwidth. Content is delivered when it is requested bythe individual subscriber, meaning signals are transmitted to users one at a time. So if 300 users request the same ESPN video highlights from the weekend to watch, the network has to send a copy of the video clip to each user individually. The same process happens when subscribers are talking on their cell phones or sending text messages but these actions are relatively insignificant in terms of capacity because they take up very little bandwidth. Video, on the other hand, takes up about 10 times more bandwidth. Too much traffic is precisely what happened in South Korea. To solve the problem, a separate network to broadcast mobile tv was built.

Verizon, Sprint, Nextel and AT & T's phone service (formerly Cingular Wireless) to deliver content when it is requested by theindividual subscriber. This makes delivering high volumes of tv programming difficult. Unlike those carriers though, MediaFlo network broadcasts video to cell phone users all at the same time like regular broadcast television. MediaFlo's service will be available on LG VX 9400 and one phone from Samsung.

As American Idol goes full swing into another season, it's easy to forget about some of the faces of the past. Sure, we are reminded of the Kelly Clarkson's each time we turn on the radio, the Jennifer Hudson's each time we watch an awards show, and the Corey Clark's each time we see an episode of Cops. But, what about those who don't make the press? Do they have other projects going on or have they simply become American idles?

She performed a duet with Kelly Clarkson on Clarkson's first release, duet that Gray helped write. Nikhat (Soha Ali Khan) is a beautiful dancer who is willing to do anything to be an actress, to be a star. She is compelled to work with Prem Kumar (RajatKapoor) who is a superstar in his own right and more importantly has the whole movie industry dancing to his tunes. Zafar Ali Naqvi Enter (Shiney Ahuja), upcoming Urdu writer from Lucknow who has the potential to be one of the best writers of his time because he knows he is that good. Zafar comes to Mumbai to try his hand in films and is encouraged by his best friend (Vinay Pathak) who is narrating this whole movie. Long story short ....Prem Kumar is one calling all the shots, who should act with him, direct his films, write his films everything. Nikhat starts to think that Prem kumar is just using her like a puppet to fulfill his personal needs. Zafar makes her realize what she is doing is brought upon by her own growing ambitions to be a great actress and I know no one else is to be blamed forbut herself. Eventually, they fall in love and want to get married, BUT the marriage is called off when Nikhat comes to know she will be no value as an actress if she's married. So, they live together and go about their personal lives.

Month's Later, Zafar gets a chance to direct his own film based on this novel. When he asks Nikhat to do his movie she refuses due to prior commitments. Every film-maker has to make a movie when the producer is after him to make one. Ratanbala (Sonya Jehan) was chosen by Zafar to play the female lead. The movie releases but it wasn't a hit because he made a film for himself, he believed in the film, a film on the story of his life. The events that followed were Zafar trying to make his comeback after a while and the movie he made was named "Khoya KhoyaChand "based on the story of Nikhat, Zafar and Prem Kumar.

Sudhir Mishra has made a revolutionary film. Not by way of the storyline but by the way he's portrayed Zafar's character as one who wants to show realities of life in films and not of one who shows what happens in films is exactly what happens in life. Few scenes are worth mentioning. When Zafar goes to Noni Ganguly, a great director of his time, when he realizes that Prem kumar doesn't want his story in the film. The Quote above is exactly what he said to Zafar. Another one is how naturally the director showed a movie Premiere in Bombay. It looked very realistic and made Farah Khan's movie premiere scenes in her movies look like it was in some dream world. At no point in the movie will you get bored with any of the charactersor the storyline. The film will draw you in totally.

Shiney Ahuja is growing as an actor through every movie. Since the character is from lucknow and in reality he's a lucknowi (Awadhi), he fits in to the role very well. Rajat Kapoor has done full justice to the role as the quintessential star actor. Soha Ali Khan, after a few stupid films in her career has given her career best acting much better than her role in Rang De Basanti. Sonya Jehan and Vinay Pathak have stuck to their character's behavior and did their best.

This film shows Indian Cinema what it used to be and what it has to be.

Dave Lizewski is just a normal kid. His only super power is being invisible to girls. He's never crossed paths with a radioactive spider, never been subjected to intense bursts of gamma radiation, and he doesn't have mutant DNA. That's because those things are pretty much impossible. But Dave Lizewski doesn't think that putting on a mask and helping people has to be impossible. It's this blend of naiveity and optimism that turns him into the first hero of his kind in the movie Kick-Ass.

Based on the hyper-violent comic book created by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr., Kick-Ass is the story of Dave Lizewski'stransformation from normal teenager to normal teenager with a mask. When a scuffle with some thugs is caught on video and posted to the web, it quickly goes viral. Web stardom leads to an inbox filled with requests for help and suddenly Dave, portrayed by relative newcomer Aaron Johnson, is doing work, albeit dangerous hero hero work for your average everyday teen. There's always safety in numbers though, and Kick-Ass quickly finds himself forming a tenuous alliance with fellow heroes Big Daddy (Nicholas Cage), Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) and Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz) in an effort to take down mob boss Frank D'Amico (Mark Strong).

Director/Producer/Writer Matthew Vaughn (Layer Cake, Stardust) shows his chops here as he lifts John Romita Jr's images off the comic page andtranslates them onto the big screen with an uncanny knack for capturing the artist's original vision. Some scenes, namely the introduction, is almost perfectly frame by frame. In fact, the only thing separating the film from its source material at times is the fidelity of the images. Where Romita fair amount of inserted grittiness into the comic, Vaughn counters with the same slick production seen in many comic book movies over the past decade. Vaughn toes the line between campy and ghastly and uses the behavior of the characters and the over the top violence that follows their actions, to temper the brightly colored, overly-stylized production and Hollywood feel.

The biggest source of all this gritty violence is little Mindy Macready, a ten-year-old who goes by the name ofHit-Girl. Chloe Moretz, of the upcoming vampire flick Let Me In, steals the scenes here with her interpretation of a little girl who would rather play with butterfly knives than dolls. As Dave Lizewski puts it in the comic, "She's like John Rambo meets Polly Pocket."

The rest of The cast turn in above average performances as well, especially Mark Strong who makes his role as Frank D'amico the transition between last year's Lord Blackwood in Sherlock Holmes and next year's turn as Sinestro in the upcoming Green Lantern. It's no wonder he keeps landing these roles-he makes an excellent antagonist.

As hard As it may be to believe, the film doesn't quite live up to the buckets of blood Millar and Romita Jr. put on display in the graphic novel. There's still plenty to go aroundhere, and when coupled with copious amounts of strong language and some sexual situations, Kick-Ass is rated an unapologetic r. The slight tweak in the amount of gore isn't the only departure Matthew Vaughn and co. take from the source material either. While the main story arc is left untouched, predominately purists may get their feathers ruffled in the way some events unfold and slight differences to minor plot points.

There's not much to get excited about as far as bonus features on the disc. Aside from a 20 minute interview with the comic's creators, you're mostly treated to a bunch of storyboards and marketing materials. The director's commentary track, if you're into that sort of thing, is your typical casserole of interesting tidbits and soul crushing boredom. Why You Should Buy the PS3?

First, let's explain what the PS3 can do. The PS3 can deliver a gaming experience beyond anything you know today. It has a built in Blu-ray disc drive and provides high definition graphics and all new multimedia experience you probably haven't seen.

When I first got my PS3, I was doing the same research you're probably doing right now. You've heard about the PS3 from either your friends or family. Maybe they want you to get it so they can play online or maybe you've seen a few games that look pretty cool and wanted to play. I've been their done that!! When I started doing my research on the different gaming systems such as Xbox 360 and the Wii, I wanted to know what was the best for the money. I didn't care so much about the different games out there since most video gamecompanies now usually make a game for all the systems.

For example, Madden football or NCAA football, you see these games on all the systems and there's no difference in how the game operates. Sure, some gaming systems have their signature games for their Xbox 360 console like has "Halo" and the Wii has "Mario brothers" but those are just single games that eventually get boring just like any other game. You're probably like me when it comes to a game or know someone like me, when it comes to games that I usually beat or have beaten several times, it gets boring and I'm ready to trade those games ASAP. Which brings me to my next point about games?
